Just another reminder….you still don’t have to say “yes”

I know I’ve reminded all of you about this a few times…but it is worth repeating….

There are some software updates (such as Java…) that have other “programs” bundled in with them…In this case, it’s the ask.com browser toolbar. My OWN professional view is that most toolbars are more of an annoyance than they benefit end-users…they can change your default search and browser home page…

It also can be a little deceptive whether or not you have to say “yes” to allow the primary installation to continue…if you notice, I unchecked both check boxes and can proceed with the installation.



So just a reminder from your friendly, temporarily-gimpy IT guy that you DO have a choice!
